25-Year Old Woman Charged with Identity Theft in New York

A 25-year old Bronx woman was arrested and charged with identity theft, when she used someone else's identification to try and withdraw $5,000 from PNC Bank on April 3rd around 2:15 PM, officials said. She was charged with using and possessing a false government-issued identification and two counts of identity theft. The woman was held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center on $120,000 bail.
Identity theft crimes are viewed as serious violations as it is highly illegal to obtain a person’s personal identification without their consent. Identity theft includes:

·         Driver's license or official records (medical, marriage)

·         Forgery of signature on documents
